Malinga Speaks His Mind

Malinga Speaks His Mind

Former T20 Captain Lasith Malinga said that he has not contacted Aravinda De Silva through email transactions. As a Captain, I have entered into conversation only with the Secretary of the Selection Committee, Kapila Gunawardene.

Further, he cannot make any comments on other cricketers who have not been bid at the IPL competition. In responding to accusation made by Aravida De Silva in the press conference called and held by him, Malinga said so.

In the final match of 2011 World Cup, Anjalo Mathew fell sick. Hence, he didn’t play. Lahiru Thirimanne too fell sick and left in the mid of the match. It is a natural phenomenon that players fell sick. What I say is that the past is quickly conveniently forgotten.

But if something happened to Malinga, all remember it. IPL is a game not played only by Mforalinga. If they don’t bid for other players, what can I do? Just go and look back into the cricket history.

In 2011 final match with India, Anjelo Mathew abstained from playing as he was sick.Had I not played on that day, you would have talked as it was a match against India, Malinga didn’t play. Just thin. I have been playing cricket for the last 12 years. But I have not left the team inconvenience it. Whatever it may be, I have played or otherwise stayed a side. I have played for the team and never left in the half way. If I can play, I play. If I cannot play, I cannot. Now I have been away from playing cricket and I don’t play now.
