Paddy Marketing Board Recommenced Purchase of Paddy

The Paddy Marketing Board is ready to commence purchase of paddy today from farmers that was suspended during the festive season .

Speaking to MB Dissanayake said the Paddy Marketing Board has purchased 120,000 metric tonnes of paddy thus far.

He said the Board has also ensured all storage facilities.

The Chairman said the private sector has also been purchasing paddy at government rates adding it has provided much relief to the farming community.
