Joint Opposition Demands Reinstatement of MR’s Military Security

The so called Joint Opposition has demanded from  the President and the Prime Minister to reinstate the Army security contingent of Mahinda , which was withdrawn as per Government policy not to engage Army in politician’s security.

In their letter they  cited various threats against the former leader’s life since the end of the conflict.

The letter was signed by a group of Joint Opposition Parliamentarians led by MPs Dinesh Gunawardena, Bandula Gunawardena and three other MPs.
