In the recent past Pividuru Hela Urumaya Secretary Gammanpila accused Mervyn Silva and Vass Gunawardena were behind the conspiracy to remove Mahinda Rajapakshe from power. They were responsible for Mahinda’s defeat Gammanpila said.
Immediately after it, Mervyn called a press conference and denied the charges.Now Vass Gunawardena was infuriated by Gammanpila’s comments.He has thrown a challenge to Gammanpila for an open Public debate on the issue of identifying who was responsible for the defeat of Mahinda Rajapakshe.
Further, Vass Gunawardena said, Television debate is more appropriate to reply allegations made against him by Gammanpila.
