Former Defence Secretary ,Gotabaya Rajapaksa has been summoned to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry today (9) short while ago.
Gotabaya was summoned to record a statement pertaining to on-going investigations over the misuse of property belonging to the Sri Lanka Air Force and the deployment of two navy soldiers for services at a house owned by his brother Former Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa in the United States.
Gotabaya failed to appear before the Commission on the 18th of April when he was summoned to record a statement pertaining to the investigations.
A spokesman at the Commission of Inquiry said Gotabaya Rajapaksa instead requested an alternate day to appear before the Commission.
Meanwhile Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa will appear before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry tomorrow to record a statement over the misuse of flights of SriLankan Airlines.
