I Cashed Cheques and Took Rs1,240 Billion to Temple Trees – Gamini Senarath’s Driver

During Mahinda’s era , Gamini Senarath functioned as the chief officer of the Presidential secretariat.  Sarath Dissanayake worked under him as the driver of Gamini Senarath.
Sarath Dissanayake has appeared before the Human rights Commission on Monday, 9th and complained, that he was abducted on last Thursday (5)  by Colombo Crime Division officers. He said in his complaint, that he was forced  to accept cash fraud .
He has disclosed several irregular financial transaction that took place in Presidential Secretariat then.
Further, he said that day prior to the election , he has to gone to banks in several stages and cashed cheques for Rs 1,240 billion . He has signed all relevant  cheques and cashed to the value  of Rs 1,240 billion . He has handed over Rs 1,240 money at the Presidential Secretariat, he concluded. Anti corruption movement officers has taken him to the Human Rights commission  to lodge this complain. On learning about this, IGP has ordered for an  inquiry in this connection.
