Over Ragging Incident 8 Students Further Remanded

A first year student of the Kelaniya University  was subjected to ragging by  eight students . They were arrested over ragging and remanded. Mahara Chief Magistrate Mahinda Prasad has ordered to remand them remanded till  31st May.

The aggrieved party had identified three suspects at an identification parade today.

Two other students who were charged of ragging have been released on two surety bails of 2,500 rupees each and two cash bails of 50,000 rupees each.Further  The two suspects who were released were ordered to appear before court on the 9th of August.
