The Disaster Management Center said, due to the increasing water levels in the Kalu River flood situation has arisen. Assistant Director of the Disaster Management Centre Pradeep Kodippili requested people living in low lying areas in Kalu River should be vigilant.
It is reported that due to the rising of water levels in Gin Ganga the Baddegama area has experienced floods. Due to water level reached spill level in Nilwala Akuressa, Paraduwa and Panadugama areas were flooded.
