A special discussion on the process of providing land and building houses for those permanently displaced by the landslide in the Kegalle District took place last evening at the Presidential Secretariat.
President Maithripala Sirisena has given the go ahead for the process of providing land and building houses for those permanently displaced by the landslide in the Kegalle District.
Officials informed President Sirisena that areas have already been identified to resettle those displaced.
Displaced persons will also be resettled in land belonging to private plantation companies and the President had also issued directives on building durable houses.
