FCID Completed 44 Inquiries

Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe said in parliament yesterday, that the FCID has completed inquires in respect of 44 cases and forwarded relevant files to the Attorney General for advice. In respect of 6 inquiries on advice given by the Attorney General  cases were filed in courts.

However, Government officers accused cannot be arrested thus creating a stumbling block in  the public service. PM has said this in  parliament yesterday, while replying a question raised by JVP MP Sunil Hanthumnetti .
