MR’s Japan Visit Undecided

The former President, Mahinda Rajapaksa is scheduled  to undertake a five-day tour   to Japan.

He  was scheduled to head to Japan, at dawn today, with a group of JO MPs, was still staying in Srilanka undecided whether he should remain to support the No-Confidence tabled by the JO or to leave to Tokyo.

Mahinda Rajapaksa’s proposed visit, to Japan today, was doubtful until now edition went to press, as to whether to emplane or stay back and vote for the No-Confidence Motion filed against Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake, in Parliament yesterday.

However, the Parliamentary proceedings came to an abrupt halt yesterday, as the microphone system malfunctioned before Speaker Karu Jayasuriya intervened to adjourn the House until further notice.
