Earthquake Threat to Sri Lanka

Peradeniya University Senior Professor , Athula Senarathna said, that a new techtonic plate is forming nearly 1000 KM’s southwards of Sri Lanka.
He said that Sri Lanka is at a risk of the earthquake. As a result risk of landslides will also increase in the island.
