Weather Forecast For 10th April 2017

The possibility for afternoon thundershowers is likely to enhanced during next few days.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at a several places over the island except Northern and Eastern provinces after 2.00p.m.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.

On the apparent northward relative motion of the Sun, it is going to be directly over the latitudes of Sri Lanka during 05^th and 15^th of April in this year. The nearest areas of Sri Lanka over which the sun is overhead today (10^th), are Kalladi, Akurana, Giritale, Katuwanwila and Elephant point about 12:12 noon.
