Galkissa Magistrate Ordered Army Commander To Provide List of Commandos

Lasantha Wickramathunga was killed in day light at Aththidiya on 8Th January 2009, while he was proceeding to his office. Although CID investigating this killing has called for details from the Army and telecom operators, required details were not provided. Hence CID made an application  to the Galkissa Magistrate to order the following:-

1. List of commandos who provided security to the then Army commander during the killing. Although this list was called from the Kohuwala Army Camp it was not provided.

2.Mobital and telecom have failed to provide details of phone calls to and from Lasantha’s phone.

3. To order the doctor who performed postmortem on Lasantha’s body to appear before the CID when called for

Galkissa Magistrate has granted above all three requirements and ordered  Army Commander, Mobital and Telecom plus doctor to provide the requirements.
