Dengue Raises Head Again

Dengue raises head again, if high temperature prevails for over two days visit the closest hospital In a meeting held at the premises of the health ministry on the 16 thinstant it had been reported that in June 2016 the dengue mosquito has raised head again.
The authorities of the ministry of health have revealed that for this year 18735 cases of dengue have been reported and out of them 24 deaths have been reported.
During this meeting it had been unanimously decided to commence a three day dengue prevention campaign to eradicate the dangerous dengue mosquito.
The number of dengue cases reported from Colombo district is the highest with 6009 cases, while in Galle 1983, Jaffna 1259 , Ratnapura 1057, Kalutara 1229,Kandy 952 and 791 cases in Galle district have been reported up to date in the year 2016.These statistics were disclosed by the director general of health services Dr Maheepala Herath.
During this meeting if anyone continues to have high fever for more than two days the patient should immediately obtain treatment from a nearby hospital.
The director general of health services Dr Maheepala Herath had accepted the fact that although the number of cases of dengue has been increasing every year, the number of deaths reported has been kept at an exceedingly lower figure.
