No explosives were found on a man arrested on suspicion at a shopping centre in Brussels, the city’s prosecutor’s office says. The man called police earlier in the morning and claimed he was wearing explosives. Streets around the City 2 shopping centre were closed off and a bomb disposal unit sent to the scene. No explosives were found and the suspect is being questioned, the prosecutor’s office said. He said security services remained “extremely vigilant”.
