Thirty Five Sovereign Jewellery and 7 Lakhs of Cash Robbery in Jaffna

A wedding was held in a house at Nachchima Kovilady Jaffna. As per tradition, all relations of the bride went to the bridegroom’s house leaving a few at home. Thieves made use of this opportunity and stolen 35 sovereign jewellery 7 lakhs of cash and other valuable gift items given to the couple for the wedding. This was reported to the police for investigation.
