Petition on Eknaligoda at the Appeals Courts Today

The petition demanding missing Journalist, Prageeth Eknaligoda to be produced before a court will be taken up before the Court of Appeal once again today(28).

The petition was filed by Prageeth Eknaligoda’s wife Sandya Eknaligoda.

The Court of Appeal issued an order to the respondents of the petition to state their concerns and oppositions over the petition prior to today’s Court hearing.

The petition was taken up before a bench comprising Judges Malini Gunarathne and MMA Gafoor on the 7th of June.

Eight individuals were named as respondents including Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police of the Criminal Investigations Department, the Officer in Charge of the Homagama Police, the Army Commander, the Army Commander of the Intelligence Unit and the Attorney General.
