COPE Chairman Sunil Handunetti to Meet Speaker to Request Access to AG’s Report on Treasury bonds.

 The COPE also probing the Treasury Bond Scam. The Chairman of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) JVP MP Sunil Handunetti is scheduled to  meet Speaker Karu Jayasuriya today, Parliamentary sources said, . At the meeting, the COPE Committee Chairman will request access to the Auditor General’s comprehensive report on the Treasury bonds issue submitted to the Aspeaker by AG last week. In the meantime the COPE Committee is expected to meet today to discuss the Treasury bonds issue.

The Committee is also likely to meet former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran and his successor, Dr. Indrajit Coomaraswamy this week.
