Acting DIGs & Their Area of Work

The National Police Commission after considering  exigencies of the service has approved appointment of 14 Senior  Superintendents of Police as acting DIGs with immediate effect  Viz:

1. SSP Mr. K. Ajith Rohana – Acting DIG Legal, Discipline & Conduct Range.

2. SSP Mr. W.M.M. Wickramasinghe – Acting DIG Transport & Communication Range

3.  SSP Mr. M.H.K.B. Mahagedara – Acting DIG Ombudsman Range

4. SSP Mr. R.M.N.G.O. Perera –  Acting DIG Trincomalee Range.

5.SSP Mr. W.N.S.W. Wickramasinghe – Acting DIG WP South Range.

6. SSP Mr. P.L.L.H.G. Cooray – Acting DIG – Posting will be notified

7. SSP Mr. W.M.R.M Welikanna – Acting DIG Kilinochchi Range

8.SSP Mr. V.P.C.A. Siriwardhana – Acting DIG Puttlam Range.

9. SSP Mr. D.R.G.M.B Ellepola – Acting DIG Ampara range

10. SSP Mr. D. Gajasinghe – Acting DIG (PA to IGP)

11. SSP Mr. L.P.S.P. Sandungahawaththa – Acting DIG North Central Range with effect from 11.07.2016

12. SSP Mr. J.A.D.M.P.N Jayakodi – Acting DIG Crimes & Crimes Intelligence Range with effect from 01.08.2016

13. SSP Mr. D.R.L. Ranaweera – Acting DIG Police Headquarters Range with effect from 18.08.2016

14. SSP Mr. K.P Palitha Fernando – Acting DIG Traffic Range with effect from 21.07.2016

They will be assuming duties  immediately.
