VAT on Three Wheelers Will Remain

Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake said a number of three-wheelers have been imported to the country in order to cater to the demand of the three-wheeler industry.

However he said  the VAT will not be reduced.  But  the government will continue to support the industry. He added there is also a need to amend the three-wheeler industry in order to adjust to the needs of the  future.
