Minister of Commerce and Industry , Rishad Bathiudeen, while addressing a press conference in connection with the INCOM exhibition in JAIC Hilton Hotel , Colombo yesterday  said , that his  ultimate goal is to develop industry  to  it’s optimum level in Srilanka. He was speaking under the caption “INCOM  in Technical College”.  He said   that this INCOM exhibition will be held between  August 26 and 30th in 2016 in Sammanthurai in Batticaloa district. Rishad has explained the reason for holding this exhibition in Sammanthurai. Sole aim is to promote industry in this region, which had been badly affected by war  to be reactivated   and export produce and services to international market.  As local resources and man power is available in this region, it could be gainfully utilized. By doing this local man power will be motivated.
This step  will  fall in line with Government’s aim to create 10 lakhs of  employment opportunities  in Srilanka. We have planned to introduce massive industrial revolution in forth coming years.
Followed by Sammanthurai’s  first INCOM  exhibition, second exhibition is planned in Kegalle of Dedigama electorate. This INCOM exhibition will be held in other regions too, which will promote  Agriculture, fishing, Textile Industry, handicrafts and software engineering etc.
By  organizing INCOM exhibition  in different regions of Srilanka, Their produce and services will be able to compete in international market. INCOM exhibition is not organized just for entertainment or satisfy  individual but to promote local production and develop industry in regions, he concluded.
