VAT Bill Debate Will Be Deferred in Parliament Until SC Verdict

 Parliamentarian Bandula Gunawardane said that the VAT Amendment Bill will be  compelled to defer in Parliament until the Supreme Court issues its verdict to the petition put forward by the Joint Opposition.

A fundamental petition was filed with the Supreme Court by the Joint Opposition requesting to determine to pass the VAT Amendment Draft Bill by a two-thirds majority in Parliament or by a Referendum.
