Govt .Confirms Local Courts For Internal Investigation

The government has once again confirms that no foreign courts will be allowed to try local investigations.

Foreign Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera said during a ceremony held at the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration that, President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe have made clear statements regarding this stance.

Speaking further, the Minister added that certain factions are spreading rumours that the government was planning on bring down foreign judges and establish courts.

The Minister stated that the government’s aim  is to take the country forward along the lines of democracy, reconciliation and development.
