Nowadays Family matters are resolved with a meat cleaver

A brutal killing was reported from Ahungalla yesterday (17). The suspect had hacked the victim to death. Inquries have confirmed that the suspect was in fact the husband of the 24 year old victim. Both were residents of the Ahungalla area.

Police have apprehended the suspect and he is to be brought before the Balapitiya Magistarte court today (18).

Investigations so far point to a family dispute being the reason behind the murder.
