CID Permitted to Examine Accounts of 63 officers of Army Intelligent Unit

The murder case  of Editor-in-Chief of the Sunday Leader, Lasantha Wickremetunga was taken for inquiry in the Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court today
The Mount Lavinia Magistrate’s Court after considering an application made by the CID, ordered 32  banks cum financial institutions   to provide  details of  accounts  hold  by  63 officers of the Army intelligent unit.
The intelligence officer attached to the Sri Lanka Army,  held in remand   in connection with the murder of  Lasantha Wickremetunga was further remanded until 25th August 2016, by  Mount Lavinia Magistrate.
