Weather Forecast For 12th August 2016

Strong winds at times (up to 60kmph)can be expected over the southern half of the country and in the southern and south-eastern sea areas.

Several spells of light showers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.

Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Eastern and North- Central provinces after 2.00 p.m.

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers. General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity.
