Sarana Gunawardena’s Nine Cases Fixed For Trial

Former MP Sarana Gunawardena is accused of causing losses to the Development Lotteries Board, while renting vehicles during the time he was holding the post of  Chairman between 2006 and 2007. He has been charged for corruption under Section 70 of the Bribery Act. When all 9 cases were taken for inquiry  today, Gunawardena pleaded not guilty for the charges.

Nine cases filed by the Bribery Commission against former MP Sarana Gunawardena were fixed for trial on December 6 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Aruni Artigala today.
