Notice Issued On CID Over Anticipatory Bail Application By Former JMO in Thajudeen Murder

Colombo Additional Magistrate, Aruni Artigalla today (23) issued notice to the OIC of the Homicide Investigations Unit of the CID to appear in court on 30th August 2016  regarding the anticipatory bail application by SAITM Vice Chancellor and former Colombo Chief, JMO Ananda Samarasekara.

He told court that there is an imminent threat of his arrest over the disappearance of some body parts from the remains of Wasim Thajudeen.

However, he argues that the disappearance has taken place after he resigned as JMO in 2013 and therefore there was no basis to arrest him.
