Chinese national arrested for trying to smuggle Agarwood

 

A Chinese national has been arrested at the Katunayake International Airport while trying to carry with him 23 kilos of wallapatta or Agarwood out of the country.

Customs spokesman and export director Leslie Gamini said that the Agarwood is valued at Rs. 472,000 and that the Chinese national was attempting to carry it to Bangkok.
