Parliament Goes to Digital Voting System

In the recent past, while an amendment to the finance act was taken in Parliament, Joint Opposition MPs disputed that the votes counted for and against the amendment was equal. But the ruling was given after close examination of the CCTV camera in Parliament that one vote was more in favour of the amendment and the Bill passed. Followed by this, now the Speaker of Srilanka Parliament announced that Parliament will be equipped with digital voting system very soon. He made this announcement while providing tabs to Journalists, who reports Parliamentary proceeding.
