FCID Commenced Investigations Into Financial Irregularities In Sri Lanka Cricket

Followed by  a complaint made by JVP MP and COPE Chairman Sunil Handunnetti, to the FCID to investigate  the alleged financial fraud at Sri Lanka Cricket under the Mahinda regime, the FCID yesterday informed the Colombo Magistrate Courts that they are conducting investigations

FCID informed the court that  the alleged roles of former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage, former SLC Secretary Nishantha Ranatunga and SLC officials in relation to alleged financial frauds are being investigated. The Magistrate Court directed the FCID to report the progress of the investigation on 20^th  September 2016.
