Over 1000 Bridges to be Built Before the End of 2017

Issuing a communique, the Ministry of Provincial Councils and Local Government noted,  that before the end of the year 2017, they will built  1210 bridges  for the use of  the public.  This project will be implemented in three stages and that  Rs.45 billion will be allocated for this purpose.

Under the first phase, 210 bridges will be constructed in the Western, Southern, Central, Uva, North-central and Sabaragamuwa provinces. Rs.6,843 million aid  given by the UK will be allocated for this project.
