Lankan Navy: Over 25 Indian fishermen arrested

 

The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) has arrested twenty six Indian fishermen in Point Pedro, for allegedly having breached the Sri Lankan Maritime boundary.

Navy Media Spokesman Indika Silva told that the fishermen had left for fishing activities from the South Indian regions of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

The arrested fishermen are being taken to Kankesanthurai., Navy sources stated.
