Opposition Leader Demands Removal of PTA

Opposition Leader R. Sampanthan said in Parliament that 11,000 tiger suspects were  rehabilitated and released during Mahinda’s regime. Although this Government has completed more than 18 months in office accelerated action on Tamil political prisoners were not taken.

 He demanded release of Tamil political prisoners and removal of  Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).
