Boosting Breast Feeding in Srilanka ……..

As a result of  concerted efforts  taken by  all persons in the health sector, Srilanka is in the forefront in breast feeding  and it has  recorded an increase up to 92 % in 2016

The target of the ministry is to increase it to 96% or more said, Minister of Health and Indigenous Medicine Dr. Rajitha Senarathna.

 Dr. Senarathna said that Mothers need a place to feed the babies and we will start it at the ministry and hospitals. Dr. Senarathna has instructed Director Health Services Dr. Palith Mahipala to issue the circular in this connection.
