Possibility of Exhuming Lasantha’s Remains

Former Sunday Leader Editor, Lasantha Wickrematunge was assassinated on 8 January 2009, Wickrematunge was declared a World Press Freedom Hero by the International Press Institute.

Information received revealed that the body of former Sunday Leader Editor, Lasantha Wickrematunge, will be exhumed in the coming week.

As a prelude his grave, at the Borella Cemetery, has been provided with Police protection, so that to pre empty  any attempted  to tamper with the remains.
