Rohitha Abeygunawardana Request Permission to go Abroad

Former Minister Rohitha Abeygunawardana who is served indictment by the Bribery Commission asked the High Court today that he be allowed to leave the country for one month, beginning September 24.
Colombo High Court Judge Bandula Karunaratne asked the former Cabinet Minister of Nation Building to submit documents pertaining to his travel before the Court on September 9.
High Court Judge Bandula Karunaratne also asked the Police to take the former Ministers’ fingerprint again on September 9, as it had not been taken properly the first time.
Abeygunawardana is accused of acquiring land worth Rs. 41.2 million through illegal means.
