Formation of a New Political Party Membership Cards Issued

Under the leadership of Mahinda Rajapaksa. Formation of the new political party has become a reality. Followed by  a discussion attended by intellectuals, artistes, professionals and university dons held recently which highlighted the need for a new political party, the launching of its grassroots level branches commenced from Badulla under the leadership of Mahinda Rajapaksa recently.

Convenor of the Forum of Local Government representatives affiliated to the Joint Opposition Udeni Athukorale said the membership cards of the new political party they planned to launch are now ready and plans have been finalised to distribute membership cards to its membership through Mahinda Rajapaksa.

He said branch associations of the new party would be set up on the basis of each Grama Niladhari Division.
