Prisoner Found Hanging in a Cell at Matara Prisons

A prisoner was found dead hanging in a cell at the Matara Prisons this morning(19) , the Prisons Department said. They said the inmate, a resident of Matara, had been sentenced to ten years imprisonment over a child abuse incident recently. The body had been sent to the Matara Hospital for post mortem examination.
