Public Sector salaries to be increased by Rs. 2,000

Treasury Deputy Secretary S.R. Attygalle, replying to a question posed by a journalist at a press conference held at the auditorium of the Ministry of Finance stated that state employees’ salaries will be further increased by Rs. 2,000.

Salaries of the state employees have been increased by Rs. 3,000 in January and again by Rs. 5,000 in February.

Accordingly, with this new increment of state employee salaries the new Government’s promise of increasing state employee salary by Rs. 10,000 has been fulfilled.
