In response to a 3 year old child from Killinochchi Urudipuram village going missing on 21st the police and the STF has launched a joint investigation, but so far has not been successful in finding the 3 year old.
The child who had visited a nearby creek with the mother for bath was sent home along with a neighbor before her disappearance, according to the official statement received by the police.
Currently the joint task force is expending their resources in checking out abandoned buildings and nearby lakes and canals.
