Weather Forecast for 28th September 2016

Strong winds at times can be expected to continue over the Island (up to 50-60 kmph) and in the deep and shallow sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Colombo via Puttalam and Hambantota to Batticaloa via Pottuvil (up to 60-70 kmph).

Light showers will occur at few places in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Northern provincesand in the Galle district.

Thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Eastern province after 2.00 p.m.
