Sri Lanka & New Zealand will open Reciprocal High Commissions in Capitals of Both Countries

Sri Lanka and New Zealand will open reciprocal High Commissions in the capitals of both countries shortly, New Zealand Prime Minister John Key announced in welcoming Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on his arrival at Government House in Auckland yesterday(01).
The move lifts New Zealand-Sri Lanka diplomatic relations to a new high. New Zealand’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka has hitherto been based in Delhi.
The Prime Minister is on a three-day visit at the invitation of Prime Minister John Key. The visit is expected to boost closer cooperation between Sri Lanka and New Zealand by expanding the scope of bilateral relationships, the source added.
