Gota & 7 Others in Court Today

The case filed against Former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa and seven others in connection with  11.4 billion rupee loss to the government by allowing the Avant Garde floating armoury to enter the island will be taken up once again today(3).

The case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption will be heard at the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.

When the case was last taken up on the 30th of September the eight were released on 200,000 rupee cash bails and two 10 million rupee surety bails each by Colombo Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya. They were also issued an overseas travel ban.
