Police Badminton champ in serious condition

A Police Constable travelling by bike on the Homagama-Hanwella road near the Aatilgala, Wila-uda area has collided with a 10 foot wall and has suffered serious injury as the wall has collapsed on top of him.

Constable Rasika Chalaka Pieris of the Homagama Police, a formidable badminton player on the Police team was scheduled to leave to America today (26) to participate in a Badminton tournament.

The Constable is currently on life support and is said to be in critical condition.
