Ravi’s Fake FB Account User Arrested & Remanded

Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake’s official Facebook account was duplicated by opening and operating a fake account.

On complain made  by the Secretary to the Finance Ministry to the police,  a suspect identified as Diyagama Mudiyanselage Roopa Sagara was arrested by the CID and  remanded till October 27 by Colombo Chief Magistrate today.

The suspect was appointed to the post of administrator of the official Facebook account for Minister Karunanayake in September 2015 and was sacked three months later for posting content without approval.
