Gamini LokugeMay Get Trapped in Contempt Of Court Case

UPFA Colombo District MP Gamini Lokuge made a statement to the media on October 19,  when former Minister Tissa Attanayake was remanded in connection with  the preparation of a forged document. A complaint was received by the CID stating that this statement constituted a contempt of court.

The CID yesterday informed Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya that they have initiated an investigation on this   camplaint of alleged contempt of court by Gamini Lokuge.

The CID requested, and was granted, permission to obtain footage of the statement from five TV stations for the investigation.

Hence,  Gamini Lokuge may get  trapped  in   Contempt Of Court Case.
