COPE Blamed Arjuna Mahendran in CB Bond Scam & Recommends Legal Action

The Committee on Public Enterprise has  submitted  its report  on  Central Bank  Bond scam  to the Parliament short while ago. Parliamentarians  commenced expressing their views  on it. There were  heated arguments  between the Government members and the Joint Opposition .

COPE report revealed  that Arjuna  Mahendran was directly involved in the bond scam at the Central Bank,  and recommended legal action against former Governor of Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran.

It also recommended that the loss incurred by the government to be levied from the Perpetual Treasuries company, connected to Arjun Aloysius, son-in-law of Mahendran.

Mahendran, a Sri Lankan born Singaporean, is  said to be manoeuvred by   Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
