Sri Lanka People’s Party in the Forming
Earlier the political party registered as “Our Sri Lanka Freedom Front” (Ape Sri Lanka Nidahas Peramuna), with the symbol of a budding flower, has now reportedly changed its name to Sri Lanka People’s Party (Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna)
Former foreign minister Professor G.L. Peiris has been named as the new Chairman of the party. Formation of the new party will be declared on the 18th of November 2016 at Anuradhapura. 18th November is the birthday of Former President Mahinda Rajapaksha Other officials of the party will be selected after the its inauguration.
